About the Clay Foundation

Mission Statement:
To support sustainable solutions for livable communities.

Meet Jim and Andy Clay:

The Clay foundation is a natural extension of Jim Clay's and Andy Leebron-Clay's interest in organizations and individuals who are passionate about creating sustainable practices for a more livable world. While both Jim and Andy have long professional resumes, they feel the emphasis of the Foundation should be on the attributes and efforts of other individuals and organizations that are making a difference.

All of their projects are a direct response to challenges they faced while attempting philanthropic projects in Kenya and the United States.  Jim Clay and Andy Leebron-Clay are completing Masters’ work in Sustainable Community Development at Goddard College. Their studies were undertaken, like this website and the Clay Foundation, to enhance ongoing efforts.

Jim Clay has been a successful entrepreneur for forty years specializing in providing long-term health and rehabilitation care to rural communities. Andy Leebron-Clay is a businesswoman and Registered Nurse who, like her husband, thinks the only way to do well is to do good. They are using their combined expertise to do what they can to secure a sustainable world for their grandchildren.
